I am the twenty-four-year-old single mother of beautiful and brave Josephine Rose.

I am a fighter and survivor of several mental disorders, and dedicate my free time to doing my part in ending the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

I do this through writing stories for The Mighty, #SickNotWeak, and as a weekly columnist for The Painted Brain News. Being a mother is my favorite job, and writing is my favorite form of therapy. 

I enjoy reading mental health blogs, drinking incredibly sweet coffee, wearing maxi skirts, and snuggling with my daughter.

I love my cats intensely, and am a borderline crazy cat lady.
